![]() Among the department’s many duties: child protection, adult protection, childcare, child support enforcement, workforce development, cash assistance, food assistance and medical assistance. The department is one of the few metropolitan quadruple-combined public human service agencies in Ohio – providing public assistance, children’s services, child support and workforce development programs to the community. Of the 850+ employees, approximately 600 are represented by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). Today, approximately 850 employees work for the department serving hundreds of thousands of Hamilton County residents. The department has served Hamilton County since 1947. ![]() Hamilton County Job and Family Services administers state, federal and local programs designed to help those in need and help families work toward self-sufficiency.
